To mark 'children of alcoholics week' , John Taylor, Families and Friends Lead, Accredited 5 Step Family Practitioner, Drug and Alcohol Wellbeing Service, Turning Point UK, has written a book around his own experiences growing up with an alcoholic mother in London, Scotland and Australia. He has been a family counsellor for 15 years and felt that it was time to write his story about what happened to him as that blameless young boy in the carnage of addiction and how it has shaped him into the man I am today. His book will break down barriers in how families are affected by addiction and has been heavily endorsed by NACOA, ADFAM and SFAD - these are all national UK organisations. The great news is it has reached number one in the non-fiction categories on Kobo and Apple i- books. Here is the link to his website below where you can browse or pre-order a copy: https://alcoholstolemymum.co.uk

Please spread the word to fellow professionals and clients about his book to highlight the millions of children being traumatised worldwide growing up in a household with active addiction present.
