AFINet Journal Collection

AFINet Paper Collection Surpasses 1,700 Publications

AFINet Trustee Richard Velleman has announced another major milestone in AFINet’s growing collection of research on addiction and affected family members (AFMs).

Since the July 2025 newsletter, 105 new papers have been added to the database, bringing the total collection to 1,706 papers and resources published between 1990 and early 2026.

The latest additions represent research from 33 countries across six continents, demonstrating the increasing global interest in understanding and supporting families affected by addiction. This update also includes the first AFINet-related publications identified from Egypt, Lithuania, Palestine, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, and Taiwan.

The complete collection, along with the latest six-month update and previous updates, is available through the Resources for Researchers, Practitioners and Policy Makers section of the AFINet website.

Richard also welcomes contributions from the AFINet community. If you know of relevant publications that are not currently included in the database, please get in touch so the collection can continue to grow and provide a comprehensive resource for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers worldwide.
