Biography: Eileen’s interest in the experiences of Affected Family members developed through personal experience. Before retiring, she was the senior vice president of Human Resources for a Fortune 500 corporation, with offices in both the US and England. She currently volunteers with the Parent Support Network through the Partnership for Drug-Free Kids (drugfree.org) in the US which provides a phone-based peer parent coaching program for parents concerned about their child/young adult's substance use. This service was developed through a collaboration with the Center for Motivation and Change in NYC (motivationandchange.com) and is based on principles of Motivational Interviewing, CRAFT, and ACT.
